Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to empower cloud-native development teams. You will deliver scalable, secure platforms, mentor engineers, and drive automation across CI/CD, IaC, and observability tools.

You will guide architectural decisions, collaborate across business and technology stakeholders, and help evolve our cloud-focused platform engineering strategy in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 8+ years hands‑on Platform Engineering with leadership
• 8+ years cloud-native solution architectures and related platform support
• Technical lead for strategic projects and architectural guidance
• Mentor and develop team members while aligning with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Deliver and operate reliable, performant, robust, and secure applications
• Lead key initiatives, drive best practices, and ensure delivery of objectives
• Mentor team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
• Design, document, and maintain highly available systems
• Create flows, processes, automation, and tooling with development teams
• Foster continuous experimentation and learning
• Contribute to cloud-focused architecture evolution for flexibility
• Share knowledge to improve processes and productivity
• Provide escalations for related issues and questions
