Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead the long-term experience strategy for the Workiva Platform, focusing on AI experiences, systems thinking, and workflow transformation. This role sits at the intersection of UX, product strategy, and platform architecture, influencing how products look, how they're built, and how they scale over time.

The leader will envision AI-powered experiences, rethink legacy workflows, and design human-in-the-loop moments with trust.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design/UX experience in platform or enterprise products.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or 8 years experience with a Master's; or a PhD with 6 years).
• Track record of delivering 01 products and scaling them in market.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform UX strategy across the Workiva Platform, aligning with product strategy and business goals.
• Shape AI-powered experiences including generative interfaces and decision-support workflows.
• Rethink and simplify complex enterprise workflows for faster, more intuitive experiences.
• Design human-in-the-loop points with clear and trusted oversight in AI-enabled workflows.
• Lead discovery across ambiguous problems, fusing research, data, and constraints.
• Establish reusable patterns and information architecture across a multi-product ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to shape platform direction.
• Advance design systems to support consistency and innovation at scale.
• Mentor Lead/Senior Designers and grow design culture.
