Job summary

Bass Pro Shops seeks a Platform & Architecture Lead to define the strategic roadmaps for microservices, APIs, and event-driven platforms. You will lead architecture reviews, set enterprise standards, and drive scalable, secure systems for high-volume workloads.

You will also evolve reusable platform services, champion CI/CD, observability, and security controls while mentoring engineers and promoting DevSecOps across multiple product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems at scale.
• 3+ years in principal engineer or lead architect roles.
• Deep expertise in microservices and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive strategic roadmap for microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Lead architecture reviews and establish enterprise standards and patterns.
• Design scalable, secure distributed systems for high volumes.
• Drive platform services, CI/CD, observability, and deployment patterns.
• Mentor engineers; promote DevSecOps and site reliability engineering.
