Job summary

Bass Pro Shops seeks an Enterprise Architect for Application Security & Cloud Platform to lead secure-by-design architecture across applications and cloud platforms. Based onsite at the Springfield, MO corporate office, you will drive enterprise guardrails, reusable patterns, and architecture reviews with risk and compliance in mind.

You will mentor solution architects and engineers while guiding modernization efforts, securing legacy and cloud-native systems in Azure and GCP.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software architecture, application security, or cloud platform architecture.
• 7+ years designing cloud-native architectures in Azure or GCP.
• Deep expertise in secure application patterns, DevSecOps, and threat modeling.
• Professional certifications preferred: CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, GCSA, TOGAF, or Azure/GCP Architect.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture strategy for application security and cloud platform security.
• Govern secure design principles, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
• Partner with Security to align EA with risk, compliance, and threat intel.
• Lead ARBs evaluating designs for enterprise guardrails.
• Provide architectural oversight for major programs and cloud modernization.
• Architect secure patterns across microservices, APIs, serverless, and legacy platforms.
• Define enterprise-wide secure coding standards, threat modeling, and guardrails.
• Evaluate security platforms (SAST, DAST, SCA, RASP, API security).
• Oversee security in CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps maturity.
• Guide teams on secure design, vulnerability mitigation, and shift-left practices.
• Develop platform guardrails, landing zones, and compliance automation.
• Establish enterprise standards for multi-cloud security configurations, logging, and monitoring.
• Define strategic direction for securing legacy platforms (WCS).
• Mentor architects and engineers on secure architecture practices.
