Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC in Huntington, Indiana seeks a Level A Technician to lead complex maintenance and automation projects, perform advanced diagnostics, and support system upgrades and integration. This role is critical to plant reliability and innovation.

You will perform PLC programming, maintain SCADA/HMI, support robotics, electrical work and calibrations, and mentor junior technicians while coordinating with external vendors.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Expertise in PLC programming, automation, and controls.
Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strategic thinking and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex systems
Full PLC diagnostics and minor programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
Maintain SCADA and HMI systems
Robotics and automation systems support
Perform advanced electrical diagnostics and controls work
Manage maintenance projects and system upgrades and retrofits
Technical training and development of team members
Communicate and assist with outside vendors
Perform electrical panel work and wiring (all voltages)
Install electrical infrastructure (all voltages)
Calibration of sensors and instrumentation
Maintain HVAC systems
Fabricate and weld complex components (MIG/Stick)
