Job summary
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC in Huntington, Indiana, is seeking a Weekend Shift Maintenance Technician (full-time). The Level A Technician leads complex maintenance and automation projects, performs advanced diagnostics, and supports system upgrades to improve plant reliability.
This on-site role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, PLC proficiency (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), and the ability to mentor technicians.
Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Expertise in PLC programming, automation, and controls.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strategic thinking and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to mentor junior technicians and work independently.
- Excellent time management and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex systems.
- Perform full PLC diagnostics and minor programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Maintain SCADA and HMI systems and support robotics.
- Manage maintenance projects, upgrades and retrofits.
- Provide technical training and mentor team members.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and handle electrical work.
- Fabricate and weld as needed; install electrical infrastructure.
