Job summary
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a weekend shift in Huntington, Indiana. The role supports complex maintenance, automation projects, and system upgrades essential for plant reliability and safety.
Responsibilities include PLC diagnostics, SCADA/HMI maintenance, robotics support, and electrical work across voltages. Strong leadership and 5+ years in maintenance are required; benefits start Day One.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Expertise in PLC programming, automation, and controls.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex systems.
- Full PLC diagnostics and minor programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- Maintain SCADA and HMI systems.
- Robotics and automation systems support.
- Perform advanced electrical diagnostics and controls work.
- Manage maintenance projects and system upgrades and retrofits.
- Technical training and development of team members.
- Communicate and assist with outside vendors.
- Perform electrical panel work and wiring (all voltages).
- Install electrical infrastructure (all voltages).
- Plumbing repair and installation (black iron pipe, PVC, Pneumatic tubing).
- Calibration of sensors and instrumentation.
- Maintain HVAC systems.
- Fabricate and weld complex components (MIG/Stick).
