Job summary

Kroger is seeking a maintenance engineer supervisor to lead the execution of maintenance projects across plant and external properties. You will optimize PM/PPM, manage spare parts, schedules and ROI analyses, and drive improvements using DMAIC/Kaizen methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering or equivalent technical manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
• 2+ years of maintenance engineer experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills within a technical team.
• Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Completion of Maintenance Excellence training curriculum.
• RCA training or equivalent.
• Led multiple RCAs with cross-functional teams.
• Experience troubleshooting food processing and utilities systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Visio and MS Projects.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
• Proficient in CMMS planning, scheduling, inventory control, and purchasing functions.
• Ability to modify process flow diagrams and facility drawings.
• Experience with DMAIC Kaizen.

Responsibilities

• Optimize scope and timeline for equipment overhauls.
• Develop execution plans, manpower and schedules for overhauls and shutdowns.
• Lead interactions with planning/scheduling, inventory control and maintenance purchasing on overhauls and repairs.
• Analyze PM program condition and prioritize gaps.
• Manage PM program for equipment, building and facilities via CMMS.
• Oversee PM review of critical assets and ROI analyses.
• Use AutoCAD to analyze P&IDs, PFDs and layout drawings.
• Maintain equipment and facility documentation/drawings.
• Support development and tracking of maintenance budget.
• Manage small capital projects delivering documented improvements.
• Lead troubleshooting for the technical team.
• Oversee parts room and ensure policy adherence and parts availability.
• Perform inventory optimization cycle of storeroom.
• Manage RCA process and ensure actions are tracked.
• Use KDT and one-click to identify reliability failures and prioritize improvements.
• Drive reliability improvements across production lines.
• Lead DMAIC/Kaizen in reliability initiatives.
• Analyze maintenance KPI metrics and develop action plans.
• Manage predictive maintenance program execution and ROI documentation.
• Support OKEA audits and improve maintenance systems.
