Job summary

Kroger is seeking a seasoned Plant Engineering/Maintenance leader to direct and optimize all engineering and maintenance functions at its facility. You will develop a 3-year capital plan, manage budgets, coordinate contracts, and drive energy efficiency while ensuring compliance with GMPs, OSHA, EPA and other agencies.

Responsibilities include staff training, records management, and leading cross-functional teams to improve facility performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-10 years of related experience in the food industry dealing with: project management, preventative maintenance administration, guiding a maintenance workforce, establishing and operating to a budget, utility utilization, EPA and OSHA requirements, GMPs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software with advanced Excel.
• Experience using AutoCad.
• Knowledge of GMPs, EPA and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct, schedule and control all plant engineering/maintenance functions to obtain optimum efficiencies from equipment, utilities and overall operations.
• Prioritize DC needs, develop and implement a 3-year capital plan with capital requests and project schedules.
• Coordinate project activities, write contracts and manage project funds.
• Establish and administer a predictive/preventative maintenance program and work order procedures.
• Train maintenance/engineering staff and manage budgeting and records.
• Monitor energy consumption and promote efficient energy usage.
• Partner with OSHA, EPA, FDA and other agencies for compliance.
• Maintain engineering records, reports and manuals as required by law.
