Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Chief Engineer (Branch) to oversee daily repair and preventive maintenance of industrial textile processing equipment and facilities. You will supervise engineering staff, coordinate with production, sales, and service, and manage spare parts inventories while driving safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, hydraulics/pneumatics, and adherence to Alsco policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of maintenance engineering experience with knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welder, and boiler applications.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability on 3-phase 230-volt systems.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all operating equipment in satisfactory condition.
• Supervises the plant engineering staff and coordinates with production, sales, and service for efficient plant operations.
• Manages spare parts inventories cost-effectively.
• Executes an effective preventative maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains industrial processing equipment, water systems, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoots electrical issues.
• Develops and trains engineering staff; maintains records and safety compliance.
• Order parts and supervise maintenance requests to minimize downtime and improve operations.
• Ensure safety and adherence to policies; follow all applicable laws.
