Job summary

Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf Resort & Spa is seeking a Pizza Cook to supervise and assist in preparing all food items for the Pizza/Restaurant/Dining Outlet Café and Room Service. You will maintain the highest standards to create appealing dishes and ensure timely service.

The role requires supervisory experience, a culinary background, and Food Handlers Certification, with the ability to work under pressure in a hotel setting.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years related progressive experience or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
• Must convey information clearly and work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
• Must have initiative and anticipate what needs to be done.
• Must be able to handle problems and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist in the preparation of all food items for the Pizza/Restaurant/Dining Outlet Café and Room Service.
• Maintain the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product.
• Ensure proper storage of food and equipment at the end of each meal period.
• Train staff in kitchen operations and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and kitchen.
• Attend meetings as required by management and maintain flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.
• Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and safety standards.
