Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking an experienced piping analysis lead to own the design and analysis of piping and tubing systems for launch facilities, including high‑pressure gas and cryogenic lines. You will guide technical work and ensure rigorous adherence to design codes.

You will mentor junior engineers, review analyses, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements, enabling safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications

  • Four-year engineering degree (aerospace or mechanical).
  • 7+ years in a technical engineering role with piping analyses.
  • Extensive experience with Bentley AutoPIPE and ASME B31.3.
  • Experience mentoring others and leading analysis reviews.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for piping analyses of launch facilities.
  • Develop and maintain piping analyses through full design lifecycle.
  • Define standards and best practices for piping analysis.
  • Lead peer reviews and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers in tools and design codes.
  • Collaborate with structural, FEA, and fluid teams to integrate piping.
  • Identify and resolve complex piping risks across projects.
