Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a senior piping analysis engineer to lead the design and analysis of piping systems for spaceflight facilities. You will own piping analyses through the full design lifecycle, ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires 7+ years in technical engineering, experience with Bentley AutoPIPE, AutoCAD P&ID, Creo, and finite element tools, and the ability to collaborate across teams to meet cost, schedule, and safety

Qualifications

Four-year aerospace or mechanical engineering degree.
7+ years in a technical engineering role with increasing responsibility.
Extensive piping stress analysis experience using Bentley AutoPIPE.
Experience mentoring others in piping analysis tools and reviews.
Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 for piping stress analysis.
Ability to earn trust and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead for piping and tubing systems analysis for launch facilities.
Develop and maintain piping analyses through full design lifecycle.
Define and enforce analysis standards, methods, and best practices.
Lead peer reviews and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers in piping analysis tools.
Collaborate cross-functionally to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
Identify and resolve complex technical risks across projects.
