Job summary

Grayson Carter and Son Contracting, Inc. in Athens, AL is seeking a Pipe Foreman II to lead field crews on pipe installation projects. You will supervise a crew, coordinate with the Pipe Superintendent, and ensure work adheres to plans, specs, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years as a foreman, strong communication, and the ability to operate heavy machinery while enforcing PPE and OSHA standards. Travel to job sites and occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a foreman.
• Effective communication skills.
• Physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards.
• Arsenal and FBI badges preferred but not required.
• Willing to travel between job sites.
• Wear PPE on all job sites.
• Work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Commitment to attending work each day.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate track hoes, loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment to move, transport, and position pipe materials and other equipment.
• Assist in supervising and coordinating the work of team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to required standards.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report any issues immediately.
• Monitor on-site activities to ensure work follows plans, specs, and safety rules.
• Monitor work quality to meet project specifications and standards.
• Maintain an organized, clean work site and address hazards.
• Document and report incidents or issues.
• Maintain high quality of work.
• Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foremen, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and coworkers.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; perform other duties as assigned.
• Represent Grayson Carter and Son Contracting, Inc. professionally.
