Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Physical Therapy Team Leader to guide our therapy team and coordinate patient care. This leadership role blends hands-on clinical work with operations, scheduling, and staff development.

You will oversee daily operations, mentor clinicians, ensure adherence to best practices, and help deliver compassionate, personalized care that supports strong patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited therapy program required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in physical therapy or leadership, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Director of Therapy Operations in daily operations of the therapy team, including scheduling, orientation, training, and communication with the physical therapy staff and hospital departments.
• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
