Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Clinical Director to lead outpatient orthopaedic services across multiple NJ locations. The role requires a PT license, strong leadership, and a track record in clinical program development.

You will manage clinic performance, ensure compliance with employment laws, and drive operational excellence while fostering a collaborative, patient‑centered team environment. This is a full-time on-site leadership position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred.
• Physical Therapist License required.
• Valid CPR license.
• Minimum of three years’ clinical outpatient experience and two years’ clinical supervision or clinical program development experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR system.
• Team player with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, decisive judgment, action oriented.
• Able to build teamwork and manage conflict calmly.

Responsibilities

• Meet census goals for clinic and clinicians; review scorecards weekly with RCD.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws with People Operations.
• Oversee facility maintenance and operations.
• Approve timecards per Exempt/Non-Exempt classifications.
• Lead interview/hiring for clinical and admin roles; support HR.
• Train and onboard clinical staff; conduct ongoing performance evaluations.
• Monitor staff compliance and address performance issues; escalate to HR when needed.
• Follow up on patient satisfaction and net promoter scores.
• Monitor clinic budget: visits, labor, and supplies; manage expenses.
• Oversee documentation audits and Medicare compliance; monitor MMR cap.
• Review EMR schedules weekly and ensure timely documentation.
• Manage physician referrals and outreach where applicable.
• Coordinate staff expenses, scheduling, and hiring/termination decisions.
• Ensure adherence to discharge policies and clinical supply ordering.
• Attend weekly calls with RCD and meetings with Operations Manager.
