Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
• Active Idaho Physical Therapist License.
• BLS Certification (or achieved on hire).
• Driver’s license preferred for travel to off-site sites.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists as needed.
• Reviews patient’s functional needs and adjusts care plan to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Designs and implements a plan of care based on assessment, involving significant others when possible.
• Conducts therapy within defined standards of care and directs support staff to achieve patient goals.
• Communicates with other professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes and adheres to hospital policies.
• Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans, and maintains required prescriptions and signatures.
• Supports professional growth and development through participation in programs, meetings, and workshops.
• Provides leadership to staff and promotes physical therapy within the community.
• Maintains insurance documentation and collaborates with the director on clinical issues and patient complaints.
