Job summary

Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat adults with neurological conditions in an outpatient setting. Ideal candidates hold a DPT or equivalent, Idaho licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Idaho Physical Therapist License
• BLS Certification (or able to obtain on hire)
• Preferred: Driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Evaluate adults with neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s, MS, cerebral palsy, vestibular disorders).
• Develop individualized care plans with measurable goals based on clinical findings and patient priorities.
• Deliver interventions: gait, balance, transfers, mobility, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education.
• Apply neuroplasticity and task-specific training to improve motor control and independence.
• Assess and address impairments in strength, coordination, posture, sensation, endurance.
• Educate patients/caregivers on home programs, fall prevention, and safe transfers.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, prescriptions, and signatures.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other providers.
• Participate in discharge planning and follow-up services.
