Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland is hiring a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Central, Inpatient to support inpatient medication operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will lead a team, review workflows, provide training, and ensure high quality care while collaborating with clinical staff. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered. Schedule is 6:30am–3:00pm, with competitive benefits within a world-class health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA.
• Active OBOP registration as Certified/Registered/Pharmacy Technician; update as needed within 6 months.
• Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Ability to educate and train others.

Job Details

A caregiver in this position works variable hours from 6:30am to 3:00pm.

Responsibilities

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma
• Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application:
• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR the National HealthCareer Association (NHA)
• AND it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee. If certified but current status with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) is Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee it is required to update registration status to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire.

• Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician
• Ability to educate and train others, including how to plan and direct their efforts

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program

Physical Requirements

• Typical physician demands include the ability to perform functions of the job while standing, reaching, stretching, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of the job.
• Ability to lift up to 20lbs. while walking, stooping, bending and reaching; ability to transport up to 250 lbs.
