The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient, PRN supports medication distribution and operational pharmacy services within one of Cleveland Clinic's highest-volume inpatient pharmacies, located on the lower level of the H Building at Main Campus. This role provides exposure to a wide range of service lines, including general inpatient care, oncology, sterile products, operating room services, and pediatrics. Caregivers rotate through various pharmacy functions, gaining experience in medication delivery, carousel operations, triaging requests, answering phones, and managing medication-related communications to support caregivers throughout the hospital. The position involves significant interaction with multiple departments across Main Campus and requires extensive walking throughout the workday. Following successful training and demonstrated competency, caregivers may have opportunities to expand their experience into additional pharmacy practice areas, including IV services, ambulatory pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, home care, and other pharmacy departments based on organizational needs and availability.
A caregiver in this position will work a PRN schedule that includes one weekend every four weeks, consisting of both Saturday and Sunday shifts. Additional shifts may be scheduled based on departmental needs and caregiver availability.
