Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the daily operations of a Walgreens pharmacy. You will counsel patients, dispense medications, and perform drug therapy reviews while ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient workflow.

You will oversee staff performance, train team members, and collaborate with store leadership to expand clinical services such as immunizations and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree required.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, and insurance billing.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with products and services, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy; refer to medical providers when needed.
• Perform dispensing, compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; manage staff scheduling and workflow for efficiency.
• Promote Good Faith Dispensing, coordinate with Store Manager on strategic opportunities, and oversee IT and inventory.
• Lead training and performance reviews for pharmacy staff, supporting professional development.
