Job summary

Omnicare, a CVS Health subsidiary, is hiring a Pharmacist in Charge. You will lead the dispensing pharmacy, ensure compliance with boards and regulators, and maintain high standards of patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires Kentucky pharmacist licensure, management experience, and immunization credentials or willingness to obtain them. Expect 40 hours weekly, on-site operations, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in Kentucky, active and in good standing.
• 1 year management experience in a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager role.
• 1 year of pharmacist experience in long term care dispensing.
• Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for the dispensing pharmacy.
• Monitor regulatory and compliance developments and address them with management.
• Educate staff on pharmacy issues, recalls, drug information and investigations.
• Implement quality assurance programs to improve patient care and safety.
• Maintain policies for procurement, storage, and security of drugs and devices.
• Keep records of licensure and registrations for staff as required by state law.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and maintain patient data confidentiality and privacy.
• Ensure compliance with all accrediting rules at local, state, and federal levels.
• Serve as primary information source for internal/external questions.
