Job summary

CVS Health, through Omnicare, seeks a Pharmacist In Charge to lead the dispensing pharmacy within long-term care settings. The PIC will drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, and deliver outstanding service to facilities, patients, and staff.

The role requires a Kansas-licensed pharmacist, with strong leadership and customer-service skills. This full-time position includes a competitive benefits package and opportunities to impact care in the LTC market.

Qualifications

Must be a licensed pharmacist in Kansas in good standing.
Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified (preferred).
1 year management experience in Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager role (preferred).
1 year of pharmacist experience in a long term care dispensing role (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide supervision for the dispensing pharmacy.
Monitor regulatory and compliance developments and address them with pharmacy management.
Educate staff on pharmacy-related issues including regulatory changes, recalls, and drug information.
Implement QA programs to supervise and improve patient care and resolve issues.
Maintain licensure and registrations for staff as required by state law.
Ensure compliance with accrediting rules and regulations.
