Job summary

TMS International is a leading provider of on-site steel mill services. The Leadman will assist the Operations Supervisor in safety, Team Member management and environment priorities while joining a well-established team at a growing company.

Schedule: 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off, swing shifts. Responsibilities include leading a team, maintaining attendance, following procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Read, write, and communicate in English.
• Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work with and lead a team, give and take direction as well as create and follow work rules as well as, take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned
• Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance
• Ability to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions
• Schedule flexibility required; ability to work days, nights, weekends when necessary
• Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Working knowledge of TMS Safety and Operating principles
• Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

The Leadman position is a front-line leader that will assist the Operations Supervisor in the oversight of the operation with safety, Team Member management and environment being the highest priorities. As a Leadman you will be joining a well-established Team at a growing company.

Physical Requirements

• * Must be able to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds alone, twist, climb, etc
• * Operate a skid steer, track mobile, lawn tractor, crane, RBT unloader, impact guns, air tools, man lift, telehandler, truck, wire cutters, power tools and hand tools.
• * Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to uniform, steel toed boots, eye protection, hard hat, gloves, life vest, radio, etc.
