Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) seeks an Associate Principal in Performance Testing in Chicago. The role designs and executes performance and failover strategies for mission-critical clearing and settlement systems, ensuring RTO/RPO targets are met across multi-region deployments.

You will lead test planning, automate performance tests, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and mentor QE engineers while collaborating with DevOps and infrastructure teams to validate data integrity and SLAs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on performance testing and engineering.
• 5+ years designing failover/DR testing across multi-region architectures.
• Experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling and scripting languages.
• Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with SQL Server/Oracle DB and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Define test plans, load profiles, and ramp scenarios for high-volume systems.
• Execute tests with LoadRunner, JMeter, and Gatling.
• Analyze results and optimize performance; lead multi-region DR testing.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automate performance validation.
• Mentor QE engineers on performance and failover techniques.
• Ensure testing aligns with regulatory RTO/RPO requirements.
