Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a Perception Engineer IV to advance perception systems for autonomous logistics vehicles. You will lead complex perception features, integrate with ASI platforms, and guide cross-team efforts across GNC, embedded software, and test groups.

The role emphasizes independent leadership of architecture, validation, and performance goals, with strong emphasis on data-driven improvements and collaboration with field-testing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/CE/EE/Robotics)
• Typically eight+ years in perception/vision/robotics software
• Advanced proficiency in C++ and Python
• Experience delivering perception features for robotic/autonomous systems
• Strong CV, sensor fusion, and ML algorithm experience
• Experience with cameras, LiDAR, radar, GPS/GNSS, inertial sensors
• Software interfaces, real-time software for embedded/constraint platforms
• Linux-based development with ROS/ROS2 and CI practices
• Ability to define metrics and evaluate on large datasets
• Proven debugging and cross-team collaboration skills
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities

Responsibilities

• Design and validate advanced perception algorithms for autonomous systems
• Lead perception features: detection, classification, tracking, segmentation
• Integrate perception with vehicle platforms and autonomy software
• Fuse data from cameras, LiDAR, radar, GPS, inertial sensors
• Develop environmental models for navigation and docking workflows
• Define architecture, requirements, tests, and validation plans
• Collaborate with GNC, embedded software, and systems teams
• Perform field validation and hardware-in-the-loop testing
• Mentor engineers and improve development tools and standards
• Communicate risks and technical decisions to leadership
• Document algorithms, interfaces, and validation results
