Job summary

Veho is seeking a Lead, Talent Business Partner for Ground Operations to manage employee relations, coach frontline leaders, and strengthen workforce stability. You’ll work directly with operational leaders in warehouses, across shifts, to raise performance and ensure fair, data‑driven decisions.

You’ll use HRIS and AI tools to streamline processes, reduce risk, and improve the employee experience. This role emphasizes practical problem solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience independently managing investigations, employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and complex workplace issues.
• Experience supporting frontline, non-exempt, shift-based or distributed employee populations.
• Ability to build trust, handle sensitive situations, manage conflict, and make fair decisions under pressure.
• Comfort coaching managers, conducting difficult conversations, and ensuring performance issues are addressed.
• Understanding frontline work realities and balancing business needs with employee needs.
• Ability to interpret workforce trends and propose practical solutions.
• Ownership mindset with ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
• Knowledge of employment laws and policies relevant to hourly workforces, including wage/hour, leave, accommodations, and protections.
• Comfort with HRIS and digital tools; willingness to use AI to improve efficiency.
• Strong communication to work with hourly employees, supervisors, and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations cases, investigations, misconduct allegations, and disciplinary matters for assigned locations.
• Provide fair, timely investigations and escalate high-risk issues as needed.
• Collaborate with Legal, People Operations, and site leaders on accommodations and sensitive matters.
• Coach leaders on policy application, documentation, and corrective action.
• Identify recurring issues and address root causes with site leadership.
• Set performance expectations using Veho's standards and challenge underperformance with facts.
• Develop frontline leaders and align hiring standards with Talent Acquisition.
• Visit warehouses, interact with employees across shifts, and understand day-to-day realities.
• Use data and AI tools to simplify reporting and improve People support.
