ADM is seeking a Payroll Supervisor in Decatur, IL to lead and optimize our hourly payroll operations. You will supervise Payroll Specialists, ensure timely and accurate processing, and address complex payroll issues across multiple states.

Responsibilities include governance of payroll controls, coaching staff, and collaborating with HR and IT. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience processing complex multi-state payrolls.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, taxation, and payroll accounting.
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly payroll processing to ensure timely, accurate execution.
• Monitor schedules, batch processing, balancing, funding, and transmission activities.
• Resolve payroll exceptions and issues (direct deposits, rejections, retroactive payments).
• Ensure timely processing of manual checks, overtime, deductions, and reimbursements.
• Oversee payroll reporting, reconciliation, and payroll‑related journal entries.
• Lead, coach, and develop Payroll Specialists and Team Leads.
