Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT, seeks an Engineering Supervisor for the VIRGINIA Tactical Electronic Systems group to lead the design and development of payload electronics across multiple submarine programs.

You will manage a team of engineers, oversee vendor relations for the Common Weapon Launcher, and collaborate with design, operations, purchasing, NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, and shipyards to deliver safety-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Engineering and 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience leading a team and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Familiarity with Cabling Diagrams and Electrical Drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, overseeing the design and development of payload electronics across projects.
• Coordinate vendor management for the Common Weapon Launcher and related systems.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers including Design, Operations, Purchasing, NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, and shipyards.
• Apply CMMI and systems engineering principles to ensure safety-critical, reliable solutions.
