Job summary

A.C. Moate Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead field operations in paving, sealcoating, concrete, and maintenance across pressurized projects in the Portland area.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in construction and a proven track record of directing crews, controlling production, and delivering results in fast-paced environments. CDL is preferred, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction, paving, or heavy civil operations.
• Leadership experience (Superintendent, Foreman, or Operations Manager).
• Ability to read plans, specs, and project scopes.
• Strong safety leadership and OSHA awareness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily field operations across paving, sealcoating, concrete, and maintenance projects.
• Lead field crews and enforce productivity, accountability, and performance standards.
• Coordinate daily scheduling, logistics, equipment, and material flow.
• Conduct site visits to ensure job readiness and execution.
• Maintain quality control across all phases of work.
• Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
