Job summary

AC Moate Industries, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Foreman to supervise and coordinate paving projects from planning through completion.

You will lead crews, manage equipment and materials, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery across sites in the Reno area. Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years of asphalt paving leadership, strong communication, and hands-on technical knowledge of paving operations and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of asphalt paving experience with crew leadership and project oversight.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Technical knowledge of asphalt paving operations and equipment.
• Commitment to safety and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts and out-of-town assignments.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Experience with project management software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to plan and organize asphalt paving projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics.
• Lead and supervise the asphalt paving crew, providing direction, training, and support to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure asphalt surfaces meet specifications for thickness, compaction, and smoothness.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment, coordinating with operators to maximize performance and uptime.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulations, conduct safety meetings, and address safety concerns promptly.
• Coordinate delivery and handling of asphalt materials to ensure adequate and timely supply.
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, crews, and other stakeholders regarding progress, issues, and workflow.
• Identify and resolve issues such as equipment malfunctions, weather impacts, or unforeseen site conditions.
• Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to stay within project budgets.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, material tracking, and records of any deviations from project plans.
