Job summary

A.C. Moate Industries, Inc. in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Asphalt Superintendent to lead commercial paving and pavement maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in asphalt paving or heavy civil construction.
• Prior experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage crews, production, and jobsite operations.
• Strong understanding of asphalt equipment and processes.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and project scopes.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage asphalt paving, grinding, sealcoating, and maintenance projects
• Lead field crews and ensure productivity, accountability, and performance
• Coordinate daily jobsite logistics, scheduling, and material flow
• Conduct site visits to evaluate scope and ensure readiness
• Maintain quality control throughout all phases of work
• Identify and resolve field issues efficiently
• Work closely with estimators and project managers to execute scope
• Review plans, specifications, and job requirements
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
• Enforce all safety standards and jobsite protocols
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability across crews
