Job summary

Mid Florida Eye Center, PA is seeking a patient-focused Lead Patient Service Representative for our multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in Wildwood, FL. You will be the welcoming first point of contact in a collaborative team that values service and well-being.

Preferred candidates have at least three years of front desk experience, ideally in optometry or ophthalmology. The Lead PSR will perform routine clerical work, verify insurance, manage schedules, and support front office training as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be compassionate and can establish confidence and trust with patients.
• Must have the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or stress.
• 3+ years’ experience in a medical practice preferred.
• Knowledge of medical and vision insurances preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Experience with NextGen, Microsoft, Clearwave, preferred.
• Outstanding accuracy with front desk duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk.
• Verify insurance and manage appointments.
• Maintain patient demographic and insurance information.
• Collect copayments and balances.
• Schedule and remind patients of appointments.
• Travel between locations to support front office operations.
