Job summary

Advocate Health's Advocate Medical Group in Park Ridge seeks a Lead Patient Service Representative to support providers, connect with patients, and ensure a compassionate, seamless experience in ambulatory care.

You will handle scheduling, chart preparation, and clerical operations; the role is five 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with clinic hours 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years in a medical setting or equivalent.
• 3-4 years of customer service experience in a high volume, multiple task, high stress environment.
• Experience handling difficult callers, customers and patients. Basic knowledge of managed care and commercial insurance. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and billing and coding practices.
  

What You’ll Do:

Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Schedule: Employees are scheduled for five 8-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday.

As a LeadPatient Service Representative (PSR), you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:

• Scheduling: General and Financial

• If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
