Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists, LLC is seeking a Team Care Coordinator/Lead Medical Scribe to serve as the central contact for patients, providers, and the care team. This role ensures timely, seamless care while supporting clinicians with administrative and clinical tasks.

You’ll document visits, help with procedures, coordinate schedules, and handle triage and paperwork, enabling more face-to-face patient care. A strong medical support background and solid communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent (medical background or relevant coursework preferred).
• CMA certification or college degree in healthcare/anatomy is a plus.
• Strong organizational, typing, and computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM; ability to work independently while supporting team efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Document patient visits accurately, including history, procedures, exams, and provider plans.
• Assist with in-office procedures (injections, aspirations, suture removal).
• Complete disability/FMLA paperwork and call in prescriptions/refills.
• Schedule appointments and procedures; triage patient calls.
• Coordinate with WC adjusters, home health agencies, and nurse case managers.
• Manage provider schedules and submit/renew physical therapy orders.
