Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Manager of Patient Accounts to lead a team responsible for accurate processing, reconciliation, and collections of patient accounts. You will balance financial stewardship with excellent patient service and collaborate across departments to improve processes and controls.

The role involves budgeting, forecasting, and developing staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and data security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 5+ years in healthcare billing including supervisory/managerial experience.
• Associate’s degree in Business or related field with 7+ years in healthcare billing including supervisory/managerial experience.
• High School diploma with 9+ years in healthcare billing including supervisory/managerial experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily operations of the patient accounts department with accurate processing of financial transactions.
• Oversee posting, reconciliation, collection activities, and customer service functions.
• Monitor productivity, workflows, and performance metrics for efficiency and service excellence.
• Review collection activities and account follow-up to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assign projects and responsibilities to team members and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for staff.
• Respond to complex customer concerns and collaborate with patients and internal/external partners for timely resolution.
• Establish controls to support compliance and financial integrity.
• Develop and improve departmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Support forecasting and financial planning, including bad debt analysis.
• Prepare reports for audits and regulatory reviews.
