Job summary

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a customer service–oriented Lead Patient Access Associate to join our Urgent Care as the front-line liaison. You’ll greet patients, verify information, and help schedule and admit patients with compassion and professionalism.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week, overseeing daily operations, coordinating with staff, and ensuring smooth patient flow while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Must have good judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong grammar, spelling, and English reading/writing abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in for Urgent Care and update insurance and co-pays.
• Manage scheduling, recalls, daily reports, and maintain a neat reception area.
• Coordinate with nurses, providers, and supervisors for patient care.
• Communicate schedule delays and notify patients.
• Oversee daily department operations and staffing.
• Develop and revise guidelines for workflow and priorities.
