Job summary

Fulgent Genetics seeks a Certified Pathologist Assistant to support grossing, histology, and imaging tasks in a high-complexity diagnostic laboratory. This role coordinates workflow, assists pathologists, and ensures QA and proper documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Under supervision of the Grossing Manager, you will perform dissection, case setup, and discrepancy resolution while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Pathologists' Assistant by the ASCP or AAA (AAPathologists' Assistants).
• Bachelor’s degree in biology or chemical science; master’s degree preferred.
• Must meet CLIA ’88 criteria for high-complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Dissection and histologic sampling of a full range of specimens.
• Describe gross features and submit areas for histology.
• Assist in training grossing technicians.
• Coordinate workflow and resolve discrepancies under supervision.
• Maintain documentation and QA activities.
