Job summary

Aman’s Amangiri is seeking a Sous Chef – Pastry to lead pastry operations, craft innovative desserts, and uphold the brand's culinary standards in a luxury resort setting. You will collaborate with the Executive Chef and pastry team, develop seasonal menus, manage cost controls, and ensure strict hygiene while mentoring staff in a dynamic, elegant desert environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of pastry management experience in a luxury or high-end culinary environment.
• Culinary degree preferred or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proven leadership and ability to train and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver innovative, high-quality pastry offerings.
• Develop seasonal dessert and bread menus based on trends and cost considerations.
• Monitor ingredient inventory and order supplies to prevent shortages.
• Supervise pastry preparation and production to maintain high standards.
• Establish and maintain standard pastry recipes and procedures; document accurately.
• Assist in cost management tools and tracking; support the Pastry Chef.
• Enforce hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards per health codes and Aman protocols.
• Provide leadership to the pastry team, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen leaders to ensure menu synergy and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen adapting to business demands.
