Job summary

AMAN Group Sarl's Amangiri luxury resort in Utah is seeking a Pastry Cook to craft breads, pastries, cakes, ice creams, and sorbets for the dining room, events, and banquets. You will ensure timely production, precise recipes, and strict sanitation in a high-end environment.

The role requires culinary training or 2+ years pastry experience, flexibility for shifts including nights and weekends, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or 2+ years pastry experience.
• Experience in a luxury resort environment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and stay highly organized.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Food Safety certification required.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality breads, pastries, and all prepared items from the pastry area.
• Ensure timely production of all items to meet demand.
• Accurately execute recipes and scale ingredients for consistency and quality.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels to ensure all items are available for production.
• Maintain a pastry production sheet and follow through with assigned prep items.
• Perform daily inspections of dry storage, walk-in refrigerators, and freezers for cleanliness and proper storage.
• Manage food costs by scaling ingredients, minimizing waste, and preventing theft.
• Adhere to sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
