At Salesforce, our mission is to empower Salesforce technology partners to unlock their full potential by providing expert guidance and strategic expertise. We help them define compelling use cases, vision, and technology strategies that drive business value for our customers.

What is a Partner Solution Engineer?
Also known as a "Pre-Sales Engineer", "Solution Consultant" or "Sales Consultant," the Partner Solution Engineer is responsible for understanding a partner's business challenge and presenting technology solutions to evoke confidence in a company's technology infrastructure, and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Partner Solution Engineer must have a strong desire to demonstrate their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.
The role is both business and technical - it is as important to understand the customers' requirements and use cases as it is to understand how our solutions meet these. Candidates must be able to work rapidly in a consultative and collaborative way with customers to discover their business need and then be able to present back, often with a solution demonstration of how Salesforce meets these needs and goes further still to add our Wow! factor.
