Job summary

Heartspring is seeking a Lead Paraprofessional to support students with autism and developmental disabilities, providing leadership to classroom staff and collaboration with the Special Education Teacher. This full-time role focuses on academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth, with responsibilities in daily routines and safety.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of supervisory experience and experience with neurodevelopmental disabilities, along with strong communication and mentoring

Qualifications

2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
2+ years working with children with autism or developmental disabilities
Pre-employment screening: background checks, drug screening, physical, lifting test

Responsibilities

Support daily classroom operations with the Special Education Teacher
Lead classroom operations when the teacher is unavailable
Coach, mentor, and train paraprofessionals and staff
Assist with onboarding and training new team members
Document student progress, incidents, and observations
