Job summary

Bastrop County ESD #3 in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Lead Paramedic to oversee patient care during assigned shifts within a primary 911 system. The LP will lead clinical interventions, coordinate scenes, and work closely with first responders to ensure high-quality EMS services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Texas Paramedic certification/licensure.
• Current valid Class C Texas Driver License.
• One year paramedic experience in EMS or 911/ED.
• Three years EMS/ED experience at EMT level or higher.
• Must complete Bastrop ESD #3 credentialing within 2 weeks and full credentialing within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide medical assistance at the scene.
• Lead and direct others involved in patient assessment and care.
• Administer emergency medical care including CPR and medications.
• Safely transport patients while monitoring clinical condition.
• Maintain accurate patient care reports and documentation.
• Inspect and maintain ambulance equipment and supplies.
