Job summary

Christus Health is seeking a Paramedic for Emergency Medical Services in Texas. The role administers advanced life support, responds to emergencies, and ensures equipment readiness. You will coordinate care with physicians, lead a team of responders, and maintain cleanliness and safety of stations and vehicles.

Responsibilities include documentation, hazard handling per OSHA standards, and collaboration with fire and police at scenes, along with ongoing EMT-P training and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to life-threatening emergencies and non-emergency calls.
• Coordinate care plan with physicians based on patient assessment.
• Lead a responders team to triage, treat, and prepare for transport.
• Ensure ambulance and equipment are functioning and stocked.
• Assist in cleaning station locations and maintaining safety.
• Interact with firefighters, law enforcement and other personnel at scenes.
• Complete required state and local paperwork and document patient care.
• Handle hazardous materials and follow OSHA Infection Control & HazMat standards.
• Respond to multiple casualty incidents and coordinate with others.
• Participate in in-service trainings and updates for EMT-P requirements.
• Operate ambulance and related care equipment.
• Make decisions aligned with Champion EMS policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
