Job summary

Craven Community College seeks a Paramedic Instructor in Workforce Development to plan, deliver and evaluate paramedic programs. The role includes classroom, lab and simulation instruction, curriculum development, and alignment with NC EMS and accreditation standards.

The Lead Instructor role covers coordinating didactic and field instruction, assisting with accreditation activities, program assessment, and communications with faculty and clinical partners.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience practicing as a Paramedic with hands-on prehospital care.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic license.
• Current instructor credentials recognized by the NC Office of EMS or ability to obtain required credentials.

Responsibilities

• Delivers classroom, laboratory, and simulation instruction for Paramedic education programs.
• Develops, revises, and evaluates curriculum, instructional materials, assessments, and learning activities meeting standards.
• Assesses student performance, provides advising/remediation, maintains records.
• Assists with curriculum planning, scheduling, lab operations, internship coordination, equipment management, program evaluation.
• Participates in recruitment, orientation, retention and other student-success initiatives.
• Participates in committees and task forces.
• Performs other duties supporting the College’s mission.
