Addison Group is seeking a Senior Paralegal to lead the Personal Injury team in Chicago, IL. This on-site role requires managing the litigation lifecycle, mentoring paralegals, and partnering with firm leadership to grow the practice.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in plaintiff-side PI paralegal work, strong Illinois court knowledge, and a proactive approach to leadership. Direct Hire with a stable, collaborative environment and attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plaintiff-side Personal Injury paralegal experience.
• Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Extensive experience with complaint preparation & filing, service of process, discovery, and case management.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day leadership to the Personal Injury Paralegal team.
• Monitor caseloads, workflow, staffing needs, and department priorities.
• Coach and mentor paralegals; establish consistent processes and procedures.
• Manage plaintiff-side Personal Injury matters through litigation, including complex cases.
• Prepare and file complaints, pleadings, discovery materials, and other documents.
• Coordinate service of process and track filing requirements and deadlines.
• Draft, issue, review, and respond to written discovery.
• Maintain organized case files from initial litigation through trial prep.
• Partner with attorneys to improve department efficiency and case management.
• Serve as senior resource to paralegal team on challenging issues.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive team environment.
