Addison Group is seeking a Senior Paralegal to lead the Personal Injury practice at our Chicago office. This direct-hire role combines hands-on casework with team leadership to mentor paralegals and improve workflow.

Based in Chicago, IL, you will oversee cases from complaint through trial, coordinate discovery and filings, and partner with attorneys and leadership to grow the PI practice. On-site, with standard M-F hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plaintiff-side Personal Injury paralegal experience.
• Experience managing Personal Injury litigation from complaint filing through trial preparation.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Experience with complaint preparation and filing, service of process, discovery, and litigation case management.
• Leadership, mentoring, training, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to manage high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize deadlines.
• Confident, proactive approach with leadership and ownership.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Personal Injury Paralegal team.
• Monitor caseloads, workflow, staffing needs, and department priorities.
• Coach and mentor paralegals while establishing consistent processes and procedures.
• Manage plaintiff-side Personal Injury matters throughout the litigation process, including complex or escalated cases.
• Prepare and file complaints, pleadings, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.
• Coordinate service of process and track important filing requirements and deadlines.
• Draft, issue, review, and respond to written discovery.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files from initial litigation through trial preparation.
• Partner with attorneys and operational leadership to improve department efficiency and case management.
• Serve as a senior resource to the paralegal team when challenging case issues arise.
• Help foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive team environment.
