Quantum Technologies. LLC in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Lead Firewall Engineer / Cybersecurity Engineer to lead perimeter security and enterprise firewall initiatives across AWS/Azure, with 11+ years of experience in enterprise-grade environments.

You will manage firewall infrastructure, design secure architectures, and guide security projects across infrastructure, network, and cloud teams while developing runbooks and documentation to strengthen defenses.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience focusing on network and firewall security.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls in large enterprises.
• Strong expertise in firewall policies, rules review, and security architecture.
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, VPN, WAN/LAN knowledge.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, EDR, DLP, CASB.
• Experience securing AWS and Azure environments.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response.
• Scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash.
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001.
• Ability to produce runbooks and technical documentation.
• Lead security projects across infra/net/cloud teams.
