Job summary

Prince George’s County Government’s Office of Central Services seeks a Lead Painter (Maintenance Services Attendant 3A) in the Facilities Operation and Management Division. This essential position leads a crew in skilled trades, including painting, carpentry, and related tasks, across county facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma, maintenance experience, a valid driver's license with up to six points, and readiness to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or vocational school.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than six (6) points.
• Willing to respond to emergency service calls on a 24-hour basis.
• Good physical condition.
• Experience in general maintenance trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead/supervise a crew of skilled trades and labor positions in completing complex repair and improvement projects.
• Perform painting, refinishing and related trade tasks across county facilities.
• Coordinate with Carpentry Team to stage painting and finish work according to schedule.
• Respond to work orders generated by the SAP Work Order Management system.
• Be willing to perform tasks beyond listed responsibilities as needed.
