Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform carpentry, painting, roofing and related repairs across school facilities. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, installing finishes, and ensuring safe, compliant operations within buildings and equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least three years of professional maintenance experience, plus a Maryland driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least three years of professional maintenance and/or construction experience.
• Valid Maryland Class C driver’s license required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs carpentry, drywall, painting, roofing, and related building repairs.
• Maintains surfaces, prepares for finishes, and refinishes as needed.
• Operates county vehicles to transport materials and assist in snow removal.
• Communicates with faculty and administrators and ensures safety compliance.
